A Thing called "Corruption" (By Abhinav Gaur)

There comes a time in everybody's life when the topic on corruption in our country is raised in our conversation but if we see ourselves then we'll come to know that corruption always starts with us. The most corrupted area is every government department. You just go there and i can bet you can't have your work done in first time. Those govt. employees think that they are doing favor to us by working for us. If you go to any government servant, he'll recommend you another person to contact. Only one thing make them work quickly is bribe. If you are able to bribe them then they'll become your servant. But somewhere we are responsible for this because one of us is curious to get a govt. job and when we get it we adapt ourselves to the corrupted atmosphere of that department just because after spending few months we start thinking that if everyone here is working like this then why should we care of responsibilities, honesty etc. One such example is Dr.B.R.Ambedkar University and one of the most corrupted departments as well. Every single employee from peon to professors is irresponsible. They made the system of education worst. If once you got into the trap of this university then you'll find how illiterate and careless people they are. If you or your father name is Ramesh then some very intellectual person becomes astrologer and changes your name from Ramesh to Rasmesh on your mark-sheet. But if you are pretty lucky and you got your mark-sheet with right name then it'll be insult to them so don't think you gonna be lucky all the time because they have different latest techniques to prove that how much they care about you and will give you 112 marks out of 100. And if they are missing you like hell then just check your mark-sheet, you must be absent in any subject whether you've spent all 3 stressful hours and if you want to remove that absent then all you have to do is bribe them .. So this is how our education system works. But this is not enough because there is something essential which is related to each person's life, which we need many times in our life time and that is Doctor. Now-a-days many doctors have made this service a profession.. They don't even think that what they are doing would affect people’s life and especially the middle class ones. Today if a person gets ill and if he/she is not rich, so he/she has to think if it is better not to consult a doctor rather than spending money on doctors fees. There is such a doctor as well who charges double fee if patient takes more than 15 minutes of his time and he has mentioned it on his clinic's wall. Now you can imagine what they've made their profession. In a hospital there was a patient who died after few days and the expenditure was around 11 lacs and 10 lacs had been paid by the patient's family even then hospital's authorities didn't let that family take his dead body until they pay the rest of the amount. It seems as if the word "Humanity" has been vanished from their vocabulary.
There is another worst aspect of corruption is “politics”. I think everybody is quite aware of this shit. Politics is strongest part of every country and this sector has the power to lead our country to a well developed nation but our "Mahan" politicians are leading our country to well corrupted nation just because some of them want to buy properties for themselves in all over the world, some of them spends crores on their brood's marriages and rest of them want to fill their bank accounts by commonwealth games or anything like this. When the time of elections come they become a beggar from politician for votes and when they get that position then they make public to beg from them.

Will we be able to do it again?

(This article was sent by Akash Gupta. A die hard fan of Cricket and a National Level Player. )

After watching India performing very well since the last two or three years in this form of the game , we can say yes, but there is some x factor which our team still lacks and our national super heroes or we can say demy gods , instead of concentrating on those x factors, are going for money . They are busy in advertising shoots and endorsing products. You know the basic difference between our players and the others is that they are well focused and goal oriented people, they know what to do and when to do .There are several players who compromises with their pocket for the sake of their national duties. We have players like M. Clarke who pulled out of multi-million Indian Premier League just because the ashes are around the corner. This is one of the most concerned part for us and that’s why our players mind diverted from cricket to such other things and concentration plays a key role in players performance. We need to learn things from our past and play for our Nation pride rather than for monetary gains!

Youth- Liability or Asset???

Few days back we were discussing about power of youth.’Youth’..a word which brings immense freshness and energy with itself. One of the man argued that today’s youth is just a bag full of useless obsessions and undefined dreams. They don’t follow the culture and traditions of the society. Infact, they think being rebel is actually a part of their ‘cool’ attitude. He said they only talk about the problems and never come forward when it’s actually time to show their power. They think sitting and writing on social networking websites could help India in any way.
I certainly am not with his point. Not because I am also in this category of youths but because I know what power we posses and what actions has been takes by the youth of this society. I understand his frustration of seeing India in a state which certainly is not acceptable by anyone , but what I don’t understand is where youth is involved in this?
We do have ample of examples already where we can see youth coming forward and setting examples in the history. The recent one is Tunisia(Jasmine Revolution) and now the Egypt revolution..where 30 year long autocratic dictatorship of ex -President Hosni Mubarak was abandoned by the people and specially the youths. And no wonder, social networking played a key role in making people aware .
A Facebook page was created in honor of Khaled Said, a young man who had been brutally beaten and killed by the police. This page became a focal point around which 470,000 "fans" organized their dissidence while aYouTube video about his murder was viewed by more than 500,000 people fueling further public outrage. Inspired by the protests against and the eventual overthrow of Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali on 14 January 2011, the Khaled Said Facebook page then became a focal point for the dissemination of popular protest throughout Egypt.
The case of Jessica Lal is another fine example, when thousand of youngsters held candle-light vigils at India Gate in New Delhi to protest the verdict followed by the protest in Chandigarh led by a young self-proclaimed activist (formerly known as "Middle Finger Protests") and hundreds of students, MNC executives.
Our history is full of examples where a major role has been played by youths. Most of the major revolutions were carried out by youths.Jai Prakash Narayan led the youth movement and caused trimmer.
Yes, I do agree that there is lack of guidance and patience. But are youth really responsible for it? Today’s youth is an asset for the society. They have the courage and zeal to do things. They are innovative and full of energy. We just need to channelize them. After all when assets not utilized properly becomes NPA (Non Performing Asset). So, don’t let your power become a waste.
And at the end, few words by Swami Vivekananda,” If we wish India to be the world leader, then youth must play a devoted role. They should come out, break all the shackles of orthodoxy, communalism, casteism and re-invest their energy for the growth of vibrant India”.

Tum Chalo to Hindustan chale

When everyone took a backseat and was adjusting themselves with the situation....this small boy actually came forward n fought with it....resulting which everyone came up n finally solved the issue. The difference was only in perception...Sme ppl think to change themselves with the system and adjust with it, while very few stand against the wrong and gt the VICTORY.....

Its all upto us...Either be a slave or fght for your rights!!!

Each one Teach One

Where are we today...after 64 years of Independence? Some would say India has grown immensely after the Independence while some would say otherwise. Both the statements are justified..we do have grown..in terms of corruption, poverty, crimes, etc.
Take an example of the most awaited occassion...our "own" Common Wealth Games.. the "fiasco" as of now. Ample of dicrepencies and loopholes have been found till date. Whats the inside story is, no one knows. Only assumptions could be made on one of the most prestigious event in India. Their was a time when one such event was organized under the eye of Mr. Rajiv and Mrs.Indira Gandhi..that was a success story written long back when Rajiv Gandhi spent nights awaked for the smooth functioning of the event. Today, evey newspaper, newschannels are replenished with CWG news.
This is only one such story, every year lots of money are spent on ample of things which do not hold importance more than Child Education, improving the condition of Women in India, Living standard of people. Today also, more than 65% of the people earn less than Rs.20. Children, at the age when they have to go school, work as labours not only in big industries but even in our houses. We all talk big..but do we really take any step to correct the same? Charity begins at home. When we cant do anything to correct the flaws of society..we have no right to be didactic and preach others. "Each one Teach one" ,a message given long back has no meaning today. We, the educated youth are the only one who can really make some difference in the society. What if every youth decides to educate one child...we can very well imagine the effect of such task. We are the tomorrow of this country. Can we allow our nation to get devastated by these uneducated politicians?
So, .lets take a pledge ..to educate atleast one child in our life tym. Because these WE ARE THE TOMORROW OF THIS NATION.
